Ventus joined Stanford Univeristy and The Environmental Defence Fund in World Class Methane technology testing during the week of May 21st – 25th. Ventus was joined by industry representatives from Shell, Exxon, and others, to see a real demonstration of our UAV or drone based gas detection system. The Ventus and University of Calgary team monitored and detected methane from multiple sources using the drone and truck based laser spectrometer based systems. Gas plumes were modelled and concentrations modelled. Results to be published in a paper by Stanford University this fall.
